The Beach Ranger Program was established by the City in 2012. Under this program, our Beach Rangers assist in informing our beach visitors of City Ordinances and to pursue voluntary compliance. They have no enforcement action but are governed by the City's Ordinance.
There are eight (8) part-time rangers who monitor the beach on Saturday's, Sunday's and Holiday Monday's. Beach monitoring is begins in February and continues through September with a limited number of rangers who work year around patrolling for the safety of our beaches.
Beach Rangers are trained in the operation of both the Gator and ATV. With additional training in CPR, basic first aid and water rescue.
