Crime Break is the Cocoa Beach Police Department crime prevention program. Preventing crime is everyone's business and it takes an active approach in utilizing public awareness and preventive measures to reduce a crime risk. It is "Cops and Community Drawing The Line Against Crime." Together in partnership with one another we can make our community a safer place to live.
Business Watch was created to obtain business involvement in discouraging and preventing crime from businesses. When business neighbors know each other they become more aware of each other's habits and routines. This awareness makes them more knowledgeable of particularities and unusual events. In turn, businesses watch out for each other and communicate suspicious activity observed, optimizing prevention tactics and target hardening practices.
City Watch is another program aimed in keeping the City of Cocoa Beach Safe. Based on the same concept of Neighborhood Watch, city employees from departments such as Parks and Recreation, Water Reclamation, and Public Works help provide additional service by reporting suspicious activity to the police department.
