UTILITY BILL CHANGES NOW IN EFFECT

Effective in July 2011, the City of Cocoa began billing and collecting for all utility services provided to Cocoa Beach residences and businesses. Click here for details.

Sewer and reuse rate adjustments went into effect with the July 2011 billing. Rates increased by 6.7% pursuant to resolutions adopted in 2009. Click here to view Resolution 2009-13 and 2009-16. The rate adjustments will assist in funding Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) mandates required to operate the city sewer plant.

The budget process is the main instrument for monitoring and controlling local spending and may be used effectively to monitor the quality of work performed by City personnel. A budget consists of a comprehensive listing of anticipated revenues and proposed expenditures for each function of the City for a future 12-month period, or fiscal year.
