Trash Bash 2023

Volunteers will meet up at 8:15 am for an 8:30 am start time. As part of the Great American Clean up, Keep Brevard Beautiful partners with local cities each year for a friendly challenge called Trash Bash to see which municipality can organize the most volunteers to remove the most trash from their area. The cities with the most volunteers and the highest total pounds of trash collected (number of 30 lb. bags x 20 lbs. each) will receive $500 donated to the nonprofit of their choice by Waste Management.

Bicentennial Park

  • Check-in starts at 8:15 am
  • Volunteers:
    • Wear sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for traversing on even surfaces
    • Bring a reusable water bottle

North Thousand Islands

  • Check-in starts at 8:15 am
  • Meet-up Location: Lutheran Church at 525 Minutemen Causeway, Cocoa Beach
  • Volunteers:
    • Accessing the North Thousand Islands
      • Borrow a Kayak from Fin Expeditions on-site
      • Riding on the City Boat
      • Bring your own Kayak, Canoe, SUP
    • Wear sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for traversing the island
    • Bring a reusable water bottle

Downtown

  • Check-in starts at 8:15 am
  • Meet-up Location: Cultural Green Space, 2 S Orlando Ave, Cocoa Beach
  • Volunteers:
    • Wear attire appropriate for outdoors
    • Bring a reusable water bottle

    • Wear attire appropriate for being outdoors
