State of Emergency Proclamation
Governor Scott declared yesterday a State of Emergency for the state of Florida. Mayor Tumulty has adopted Chapter 8.5 of the City Code, entitled Emergency Management, which authorizes the City to take prudent actions necessary to ensure the health, safety and welfare of Cocoa Beach residents and businesses.
The State of Emergency shall continue in Cocoa Beach until the threat or danger no longer exists or until an emergency meeting of a quorum of the City Commission can take place to terminate the State of Emergency by proclamation.
The City is sending out CBNN's, updating the website, and reaching out to all citizens to please pass on emergency information to friends, family, and neighbors.
Official updates from the City will be through CBNN and the City website.
Cocoa Beach Fire Chief is receiving the MOST updated information from Brevard County Emergency Management and we are passing that information onto Cocoa Beach residents as fast as we can.
