NEW EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SERVICE
SIGN UP TODAY!
Effective October 1st, the CodeRed emergency alerting system has been replaced by a new, more interactive system known as AlertBrevard by Everbridge. If you were already signed up for CodeRed alerting, your information transferred to the new system and no immediate action is required. Existing subscribers are encouraged to log into their accounts to review and add different types of notifications that were not available with the CodeRed software (law enforcement issues, etc.) The new system will use all of the previously used methods to notify you of emergency alerts (cell, email, landline phone) but has additional options available such as additional phone numbers and email addresses.
If you are not familiar with mass notification systems such as Everbridge, they are designed to send location-specific alerts notifying you of emergency messages to your cell phone, email, and/or landline phone. It is a subscription service available to the public at no cost and does not share subscriber information to vendors or other parties. If you are interested in using the AlertBrevard emergency notification system, please visit http://www.brevardcounty.us/EmergencyManagement/AlertSignUp and click on “ALERT SIGN UP” in the left margin of the page and follow the prompts.
