COMMENTS: (4/1/2009) We arrived at cocoa beach on 03/20/09 and left on 03/30/09. The weather was great. The only complaint I would have was with the 15-20 steady mph winds coming off of the ocean. When you laid on the beach with a beach towel you felt like you were being sand blasted. We will be returning again and I hope sooner than later. The people were friendly and the weather was great. 80 degrees there 40 in pittsburgh. It is hard to be back home!!!!!!!!

COMMENTS: (3/15/2009) Airplanes towing the banners are disturbing the peace. I can understand them flying over the beaches, but I live at the end of a canal on the river side. The planes are going over once per hour. I haven't seen a dolphin or manatee in a week. Must be disturbing their peace also.

EDITOR'S RESPONSE: The airways are under the jurisdiction of the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) - the City of Cocoa Beach has no authority to regulate the airways.

COMMENTS: (3/11/2009) I love this place. I came for the first time 4 yrs ago and have been coming ever since.

I had never seen wild peacocks before, but they were everywhere. This place is sooooooo charming, laid back and never overcrowded. I cant wait to come back again. I just might move here!

COMMENTS: (3/4/2009) I owned a condo at Stonewood Towers, Cocoa Beach over 13 years. Cocoa Beach is a wonderful area. It's not overpopulated, and is a wonderful area for family. It's far enough away from Disney so you can have a nice relaxing vacation, and close enough to the parks, etc. when you do want to go. I used to bike on Atlantic Avenue every night, and walk for miles on the beach early in the morning. It will always be my favorite place to go. I haven't been back for years, but I still yearn for it.

COMMENTS: (3/2/2009) Does Cocoa Beach have a community gym where only residents can utilize it and pay a reasonable monthly fee?? If not, we need one of those here.

EDITOR'S COMMENT: The City's Recreation Department operates a gymnasium at Ramp Road (one block south of South 4th Street from South Brevard Ave). Fees are quite reasonable. Please phone 868-3252 for more information.

COMMENTS: (2/26/2009) I visited Cocoa Beach for the first time in 2006 for a cruise I was taking. I fell in love with Cocoa Beach and make it a point to visit at least once a year. It was so much more than I expected it to be! The locals are nothing but charming and friendly.

COMMENTS: (2/22/2009) My son is having a beach wedding in Cocoa. Will they allow me to drive my Handicap mother on to the beach just for the cerimony. Or do they offer any help in transporting her to and from the beach.

EDITOR'S RESPONSE: Sorry to have to inform you that driving vehicles on the beach is prohibited by State Law and City regulations. There are a number of locations - including the beachside parks - that offer handicap access beach ramps.
