Welcome to the Government Services section of the City of Cocoa Beach website. This section of the website has two objectives:
To guide you around this section of the website, here are some pointers:
Elected officials, City administrators, employees and City board members are committed to serving the people of Cocoa Beach effectively, efficiently and responsively. This commitment involves balancing existing resources with demands for services (both planned and unplanned) while abiding by budgetary constraints. We are fortunate to have a high level of support and involvement from board members and volunteers.
We welcome your input, comments and questions. For that purpose, many key officials are available via e-mail. You will find e-mail links in the Phone & Email menu tab to the left.
Please note: All notices, documents and records on the website are unofficial and for informational purposes only. The City Clerk’s office maintains all official records and documents.
The Cocoa Beach City Hall is located at the southwest corner of State Road A1A (southbound) and Minutemen Causeway, in "old downtown" Cocoa Beach.
City Hall is the center of our municipal government - located here are a number of key officials including the City Manager, who is the chief city official responsible for the day-to-day operation of city business.
The mayor and other commissioners are elected officials who dedicate their time to serve their community. The best access to elected officials is at regularly scheduled City Commission meetings.
City Hall is the place where:
City Commission meetings are conducted at 7 pm on the first and third Thursday of each month in the Commission Room. Most city meetings are broadcast live on cable channel 1 or channel 99 - many meetings are re-broadcast later. For more information on broadcast meetings, click here: City Meeting Broadcasts
The various city boards meet in the Commission Room to conduct their business.
The City Clerk's office is located where you can obtain copies of city documents, notary services and solicitor permits.
The Employment office is located, where you can apply for a job.
At the Finance Department window in the lobby you can pay a parking citation, your utility bill, get a parking permit or a garage sale permit.
In the Building Department on the second floor you can obtain a building permit, an occupational license or get an answer to a question regarding zoning.
The Police Department is located - file or obtain a copy of a report, fingerprinting services or obtain other assistance related to law enforcement.
The Fire Department's Station House #1 is located across the street from City Hall - this is where you will find the Fire Chief and the Deputy Fire Chief/Fire Marshal.
The Information Technology (computer & software) Department is located - these employees are responsible for City computer operations, televising City meetings, among many other things.
The City's Public Information Officer (PIO) is located at City Hall - this is the contact if you have a story about the City.
