Cocoa Beach is a politically-active community.  This is witnessed by the many residents who attend City meetings, the higher than usual voter turnout at the polls and political action committees which are created during the election period.  With over 8,500 registered voters in a City of 12,800 people, it is unusual to see a less than a 50% voter turnout at the polls. 

There are five voting precincts in the City: 22 -Cocoa Beach Community Church, 60 - Church of Our Saviour, 87- Riverside Presbyterian Church, 88 - Cocoa Beach Recreation Center and 197 - Cocoa Beach Recreation Center. Find on where you vote.

Candidates wishing to run for office in the City of Cocoa Beach need to qualify with the City Clerk, the City's Election Officer.  Click "here" to find out requirements. Qualifying Period for Commission Seats 4 and 5: starts Noon, August 27 to Noon, August 31, 2007.
