Plaques will be awarded for the
best decorated single-family home; multi-family/condo; and, business
establishment.
Cocoa Beach citizens may make
special nominations by calling the City Manager's office at 868-3201.

CHRISTMAS BOAT
PARADE that will begin at 6:00PM at Bicentennial [Boat
Ramp] Park - Marker #101 (on the south side of State Road 520 across
from the Cape Canaveral Hospital) Boats decorated in Holiday lights and
Christmas decor will pass through Cocoa Beach's southern canal system
for all to see.

Relax and enjoy the musical stylings of “One Night Stan” Leavitt – Songs from the Heart, as part of the library’s Music on a Sunday Afternoon series on Sunday, December 12th at 2:00 PM. His voice is reminiscent of Andy Williams and Mel Torme. A well known entertainer in the area, Stan has performed at The Phoenix Restaurant, Eau Gallie Yacht Club, Vero Beach Yacht Club, Vero Beach Country Club and Suntree Country Club, and last year received a standing ovation for his performance at the library. He’ll include some Christmas and Chanukah tunes in his performance. Refreshments will be served. | ||

Ongoing Programs: Book Discussion
Groups meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 10:00 AM and 7:30 PM.
Join other book lovers in reading, reviewing and critiquing popular and
classic fiction and non-fiction works. On December 8th, the morning Group
will discuss The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark, and the evening
group will review various P.G. Woodhouse selections.. Playreaders Group meets every third Tuesday at 2:30 PM in the Captain’s Room. Everyone who attends has a script and is encouraged to participate. Newcomers are always welcome. Call Barbara Clark for details at 455-2352. A Watercolor Group will meet on Thursdays from 1:00-4:00 in the Captain’s Room. This is a social, non-instructive painting group which is open to anyone with an interest in watercolors. All levels of skill are welcome. Bring your materials and paint with fellow artists. For further information, contact Angela Richards at 784-0528. The Friday Group, a new initiative group for those who are widowed, divorced, alone, a caregiver, etc. meets Fridays at 3:00 PM in the Captain’s Room. Cocoa Beach Writers Workshops are held Thursdays at 10:00 AM in the Captain’s Room. This round table discussion group gives authors the opportunity to have their works read and critiqued by fellow writers. Anyone interested in the craft of writing is welcome.
