Gel Candle – Double Bowl with Julie Njus, Wednesday, November 3rd
1:00 PM. Cost: Class fee $5.00 + supplies $8.00 = $13.00. Make a scented candle that will burn over 100 hours. This can be seashells, peppermint candies (Christmas candle), colored marbles, tiny Christmas ornaments – anything that is not more than ½” x 2” in size. About the volume of two cups of inserts will work. You bring the inserts, Julie will supply the Ivy bowl, inside glass and gel wax/scent/wick. Please sign up at the circulation desk. |

Port Royal – the Sunken City, with Bob Marx, Wednesday, November
3rd at 7:00 PM. Marx is a distinguished marine archeologist who has participated in the excavation of hundreds of underwater wreck sites throughout the world. He will present a slide show of his excavation of this ancient city off the coast of Jamaica, which was sunk in a massive earthquake in 1692. |

Many Fishes., Tuesday, November 9th at 7:00 PM. This book depicts an exciting and perilous time for America: 1850-1880. The wilderness was giving way to settlers and trappers, while Native American Indians were being pushed away from their home. Politics, slavery, and conflicting regional boundaries were feeding the flames of a fire that would become the War Between the States. Adkins, a native Floridian, will give a book talk and sign copies of his book. |

AM beginning September 15th. T’ai Chi uses natural movements emphasizing the legs and waist. It is an esteemed Chinese system of self-culture with exercise emphasizing legs and posture, and meditation for mind and breath. Cost $5.00 per session; wear comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes. |
