Community Announcement

 Free Spaghetti Dinner For Community On Sunday

First United Methodist Church on Cocoa Beach, 3300 N. Atlantic Ave., will sponsor a free spaghetti dinner for the community on Sunday, October 3, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Anyone and everyone are welcome to come to dinner.  Those persons who are still without power, along with relief workers, law enforcement and power company workers, are especially invited.  Several area businesses are helping with the free dinner for the community.

  Getting WILD About Yoga – the DVD, with Suzanne Elliott. Monday, October 11th at 1:00 PM. Suzanne will be showing her new DVD just prior to the yoga class. If you are not participating in a yoga class, this would be an excellent introduction to it.

  Intermediate Watercolor Classes with Donna Lee Bowers, Tuesdays, 9:00 AM – noon. October 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 16, 23. Cost is $70.00. Class size is limited to 20. Please pre-register at the Circulation Desk.

Korea – The Forgotten War, Tuesday, October 12th at 7:00 PM. A presentation by The Korean War Veterans’ Association. For years, the Korean War was known at the “Forgotten War”. Coming on the heels of WWII and followed quickly by the Vietnam War, the Korean War has often been overlooked by both historians and the American people. Veterans James Appleton and Louis Grappo will discuss the war and display artifacts from it.
