  Open Toastmaster’s Meeting with the Moonlighters. Interested in becoming an effective speaker? Join the Toastmasters at this open meeting and find out what it’s all about. The Moonlighter’s Club will hold an open meeting on Tuesday, September 14th at 7:00 PM.

  T’ai Chi Chuan with John Lang, A.P., Wednesdays at 9:00 AM, beginning September 15th. Cost is $5.00 per session. Wear comfortable clothing and flat soled shoes.

Introduction to Computers with Jim Anderson, Wednesdays September 15 and 22 at 2:00 PM. This very basic class is being offered twice due to its popularity. If you are new to computers, this is the place to start. Cost is $5.00 and includes course materials. Please sign up at the circulation desk.

  WILD on Yoga with Suzanne Elliott, M.A., Ed., Mondays at 2:00 PM beginning September 20th and continuing through November 22nd. Suzanne is YogaFit and Bikram College of India Certified. This Hatha Yoga Class is based on postures from our natural environment. Cost is $5.00 per session. Bring a towel or a mat and wear comfortable clothing.

  Growing Citrus with Sally Scalera, Brevard Horticultural Agent"  Wednesday, September 29th at 11:00 AM .Learn about growing citrus in your own backyard. The class will cover choosing a new tree, establishing new trees and how to care for mature trees.

    Ongoing Programs NEW!! A Watercolor Group will meet on Thursdays from 1:00-4:00 PM in the Captain’s Room. This is a social, non-instructive painting group which is open to anyone with an interest in watercolors. All levels of skill are welcome. Bring your materials and paint with fellow artists. For further information, contact Angela Richards at 784-0528.

A new initiative group for those who are alone, widowed, divorced or a caregiver, will meet on Fridays at 3:00 PM in the Captain’s Room.

Book Discussion Groups meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10:00 AM and 7:30 PM. On September 8th, the morning group will discuss A Passage to India by E.M. Forster. The evening group will review The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown.

Playreaders Group meets every third Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Captain’s Room. Everyone who attends has a script and is encouraged to participate. Newcomers are always welcome. Call Barbara Clark for details at 783-5804.

Cocoa Beach Writers Workshops are held Thursdays at 10:00 AM in the Captain’s Room. This round table discussion group gives authors the opportunity to have their works read and critiqued by fellow writers. Anyone interested in the craft of writing is welcome.
