WATERCOLOR CLASSES WITH LINDA NEAL - Melbourne artist Linda Neal will teach watercolor classes, suitable for beginning and intermediate students, on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to noon, August 16, 23, 30 and Sept. 6, at Cocoa Beach Public Library. Cost is $40.00 for the 4 week session. To register, call the instructor at 544-8888 by August 9th. (Due to the popularity of this course, the library is running this extra session.) Neal is the owner/artist of Cottage Art & Frame in Melbourne. A versatile artist, she is also noted for her work with silhouettes, scherenschnitte (paper cutting), pastels and charcoal. She designed the official poster for the popular ArtWorks Festival held in Melbourne in 2004. |

Ongoing Programs Playreaders Group meets every third Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Captain’s Room. Everyone who attends has a script and is encouraged to participate. A Watercolor Group will meet on Thursdays from 1:00-4:00 in the Captain’s Room. This is a social, non-instructive painting group which is open to anyone with an interest in watercolors. All levels of skill are welcome. Cocoa Beach Writers Workshops are held Thursdays at 10:00 AM in the Captain’s Room. This round table discussion group gives authors the opportunity to have their works read and critiqued by fellow writers. Anyone interested in the craft of writing is welcome.
