Ancient Aliens: What if Life on Earth Began in Outer Space?, Wednesday, July 14th at 1:00 PM, a 94 minute History Channel DVD. Is it possible that intelligent life forms visited Earth thousands of years ago, bringing with them technology that drastically affected the course of history and man’s own development?  In 1968 Erich von Daniken’s theory of ancient aliens rocked people’s beliefs in mankind’s progress. Ancient cave drawings of strange creatures, remains of landing strips in Peru, and Indian texts that describe “flying machines of the gods” were just a few of the odd archaeological artifacts cited by von Daniken as proof that ancient astronauts were well known to our ancestors. Bring a sack lunch. Cookies and punch will be served.

HAIR – In Concert!
The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical
By James Rado, Gerome Ragni, and Galt MacDermot
Let the sun shine in!  The Star Children, from Surfside Players’ May production of Hair, are reuniting for a special concert at our playhouse in Cocoa Beach.  We’ll be spreading the message of love, peace, and freedom once again with songs from Hair, featuring a live band, and raising money for the theatre with a raffle, T-shirts for sale, and a silent auction.  Members of the “tribe” are contributing artwork, clothing, special classes, an autographed show poster, and keepsakes from the heart to this silent auction to benefit Surfside Players.  Tickets are just $10, but additional donations are always welcome.
HAIR – In Concert! will run for TWO NIGHTS ONLY, Friday July 16 and Saturday July 17, at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are $10 for this special event.  Call (321) 783-3127 for reservations.  WARNING:  The songs contain strong language.  For mature audiences only.
Based on the musical Hair, directed by Michael Thompson, with musical director Dan Harrald and choreographer Rachel Cooke.  To get to Surfside, take A1A into Cocoa Beach, and turn west on Fifth Street South.  Call (321) 783-3127 or go to www.surfsideplayers.com for more info.
