Living in Cocoa Beach
Every community in the country has unique
characteristics all its own and Cocoa Beach is no exception. Nestled between the
Space Complexes of the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral to the north and
Patrick Air Force Base to the south, Cocoa Beach has been shaped by its
association with the Space Program.

Going back to the 1920's when it was a sleepy isolated beach community through
the years when the first astronauts trained and relaxed in the area, our small
community has developed into a unique blend of residential, retirement, retail
and tourist segments.
While these segments demonstrate the diversity of
our community, we share an interest in the great outdoors in a tropical locale,
in showcasing and protecting our environment and its wildlife and in sharing the
quality of life that comes from excellent schools, responsible businesses and
well-maintained parks and public facilities.
