Because we are committed to hiring safe and competent employees, selected candidates will submit to a complete Background Check as a condition of employment. Some positions require a Pre-employment Physical.

The City of Cocoa Beach has a Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP). The DFWP is established in accordance with the following statutory authority:

  • Florida Drug-Free Workplace Program (F.S. 440.102, et seq)
  • Florida Drug-Free Workplace Act (F.S. 112.0455)
  • U.S. Department of Transportation Regulations governing drivers of commercial vehicles (Rule 49 CFR, Parts 29, 40, 653, and 654)

The City of Cocoa Beach screens all newly hired employees for drugs and withholds offers of hire if abuse is detected.

This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening. On-line applications are stored on a secure site.

CURRENT CITY EMPLOYEES: Please complete the Internal Job Vacancy Application in the ClearCompany platform.

Your account access will be under the email address on file with the Personnel Department. First-time users may contact the Personnel Department for login assistance. Follow the instructions to submit an online application.  

Please note that the Personnel Department is no longer accepting paper applications.  Applications will only be accepted for jobs which are currently open. It is important that your application show all of your education and relevant experience. Resumes will not be considered in lieu of an application. "See Resume" is not a substitute for completing the application in its entirety. Applications may be rejected if incomplete. Applications remain on active status for six (6) months from date of application.

Some positions require weekend and holiday hours, which may include religious holidays.

Arrangements can be made to accommodate applicants with qualifying disabilities. Please inform the Personnel Department before or at the time your application is submitted if arrangements are needed.
