Preventing crime is everyone's business and we recognize the importance of having specially trained officers in unique problem solving skills to help eradicate crime. These officers provide both residential and commercial property security surveys using Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) techniques.
CPTED is the practice of using design standards to enhance security through natural surveillance, natural access control and territorial reinforcement. Buildings and spaces designed using the CPTED model maximize the natural resources available, whether they be people or natural features, to influence the behavior of normal and abnormal users to act in a positive manner.
