Welcome to Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach is a small town, with big personality, found on a barrier island on Florida's Space Coast. Whether you are here for a quick visit or plan on settling in for awhile, we know you'll fall in love with this slice of paradise just as we call home. Cocoa Beach was founded in 1925, from our space exploration roots tor our beach-town vibes, there's a lot to love!

Surfers

Life by the Water

Let's be honest, living by the water is a lifestyle. With six miles of shoreline and more than 40 beach access points, it's easy to find your favorite stretch of sand. Pack a chair, grab your sunscreen & your trusty water bottle (it's important to keep hydrated friends), you might even catch a few surfers enjoying the day. If you're making a day of it, make sure to find a spot at one of our three parks with restrooms and showers!

Rocket Launches

Living next door to Kennedy Space Center has its perks, catching a rocket launch from the beach is magical. Make sure to keep an eye on the sky, launches are always just on the horizon.

Surf Town at Heart

We're proud of our local surf town. Cocoa Beach is home to Ron Jon Surf Shop and the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame. Every year, we celebrate holidays the Cocoa Beach way, with Surfing Santas riding the waves on Christmas Eve. It's as fun (and quirky) as it sounds.

Something for Everyone

We might be known for our beaches, but there's plenty more to do:

Good Eats & Local Shops

After a day in the sun, make sure to treat yourself to some fresh seafood or ice cream by the water. Our restaurants, cafes, and local shops are fun by folds who love this down and are happy to share it with you.

Getting Here & Nearby Adventures
