America 250 - Cocoa Beach Edition

We are celebrating our nation's 250 years of independence - a moment to reflect on the ideals that shaped America and the communities that continue to  carry them forward.

Here in Cocoa Beach, the story feels especially close to home. After proudly celebrating our own Centennial, we're reminded that history isn't just something we read about.

Just up the coast and woven into our daily lives, the Space Race helped define a generation and placed our community on the world stage. We watched history launch from nearby shores, welcoming scientists, engineers, military families, and dreamers who believed the impossible was within reach.

As we join the nationwide America 250 celebration, Cocoa Beach will honor our past while looking ahead, recognizing the people, places, and moments that make our city uniquely American.
